An Hai Beach

Located directly across the Old French Customs House, this is a beautiful stretch of sand which is easily walkable from the main town. The pier opposite Customs House is the far end of the beach. It’s a very relaxing little stroll. Palm trees provide some much-needed shade. They also complete a fantastic bit of scenery here. The greenery atop of the hills offer some refreshing breeze.

The clear sea water offers the chance for a paddle. Some come to surf in the afternoon. Any walk to the hills along the coastline offers a picturesque view of the fishing boats out at work. Early morning is vibrant. Tranquillity comes with the last rays of sunlight. The daytime is perfect. Sun loungers are available. This is one of the few beaches in Con Dao to offer accommodation on the coast.

The views are amazing, though the smell from fishing boats can be strong. Litter has risen in recent years. This attracts sand flies, which can be quite the pest. Insect cream, suntan lotion and beach gear come recommended. Be sure to bring your swimsuit and a towel. Have a look at the old buildings around the beach. Quite an insight into 19th century Con Dao.

An Hai Beach is located southwest of Con Son Town.
