Vietnam Is Awesome started ten years ago as a Facebook group — built on a simple love for this country, and a wish to share the awesome people and stories in it.
It grew. Slowly at first, then quickly. Today, more than 220,000 members are part of that group: locals welcoming the world in, foreigners building lives here, Việt kiều coming home, founders, creators, students, families — everyone who has chosen Vietnam, in their own way.
For ten years, that group was the heart of it. But over time, members kept asking for more — a smaller room, deeper conversations, real friendships, in-person meetups, and serious answers to the questions that actually shape a life in Vietnam.
So we built it.
Today, Vietnam Is Awesome is more than a Facebook group. It’s a private community of people building real lives in Vietnam. It’s a podcast telling the stories of the ones who chose this country. It’s a Playbook of straight answers to the questions every newcomer eventually asks. And in May 2026, our first physical hub opens in Global City, Ho Chi Minh City — a place where members meet, work, and gather in person.
The Facebook group is still the front door — and it always will be. But for the ones who are serious about building a life here, this is what comes next.
