Cai Rang floating market is about 6 kilometers from Can Tho, the biggest city in the Mekong Delta. It is quite an experience to see, especially if you get on a boat and immerse in it first-hand. There are many traders and heavy traffic on the water, so to find out what each merchant sells, each boat has a sample of a product tied to the high pole.
The best time to visit the market is early morning at about 7 am. You can rent a boat from Can Tho, or take a much shorter 10-minute ride from Cau Dau Sau. If you take a tour, you will also have breakfast included and explore some canals of the Delta. While exploring nearby canals you will see rural life of people living by the river.
