Ho Quoc Pagoda is a temple on the southeast side of the island, with a beautiful ocean view. Built in 2012, it covers more than 100 hectares and has an interesting architecture. Phu Quoc is also referred to as an “Emerald Island” and at the entrance of Ho Quoc Pagoda, you can admire a Jade Statue. Further, you will walk on a dragon staircase with stone carvings of Han Dynasties. There’s also a giant functioning bell there. But the highlight is the panoramic view over the ocean and mountainous landscape.
The temple is perfect for sunrise if you can get there before 5:30 in the morning. Most likely you will see some macaques and even hornbills if you are lucky. TET holiday is an exciting time for a visit as well with colorful festive celebrations.
