1. Breeze Sky Bar, Hotel Majestic Saigon

Breeze Sky Bar sits atop Hotel Majestic, a charming old French colonial building that transports you to the days of Indochina. Steeped in history, this bar was a favourite watering hole of Thomas Fowler, the protagonist of Graham Greene’s famous novel “The Quiet American,” set in the backdrop of 1950s Old Saigon. Indeed, Breeze was Ho Chi Minh City’s original sky bar, established back in 1952.

Even the drinks served here evoke a sense of nostalgia: most notably, the ‘Happy Saigon,’ a signature cocktail harkening back to the 1920s. Live Flamenco and Latin melodies waft through the night air, providing a harmonious backdrop to the passing tankers and the sun’s golden descent over the Saigon River. Open 24/7, Breeze Skybar is a blast from Saigon’s colorful past.

They have lots and lots of premium wines, of course, but they also have tons of cocktails, mocktails, beers, apertifs, spirits, teas, shooters, whiskies… the list goes on. Plus they have some great snacks.

It’s also next to a few of the city’s most iconic buildings, including Bitexco Tower, Au Lac Charner Hotel, and The Reverie Saigon. Zion is one of the best spots in the city to view the sunset, and adding one of the bar’s expertly-mixed cocktails into the equation makes it an excellent spot for relaxation.

Beyond its exceptional locale, Zion boasts a live music roster that could easily fill arenas. They host renowned artists such as Blue, with many of the performances often being live-streamed on Zion’s Facebook page. And the view from the 26th story is unparalleled, letting you gaze out over the entire city and all of Saigon’s suburban districts.

As night unfolds, the scene shifts to a vibrant rooftop party with live DJs spinning beats against the backdrop of Saigon’s night sky. Complementing the modern rooftop bar is the indoor VIGOR Dining Club, offering a luxurious culinary experience with panoramic views. Chill Skybar is extremely popular so we advise booking ahead, and the venue’s smart casual dress code keeps the experience classy from the moment you enter the doors at street-level.

Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar on the 10th floor of the iconic Hotel Caravelle is situated just across from the Opera House. With an age-old charm, the decor exudes a rustic simplicity, featuring substantial wooden chairs and tables on the expansive main terrace and surrounding balconies within the bar. As the sun sets over the cityscape, the views offered here are nothing short of breathtaking, with prominent French architecture landmarks such as the Opera House and the Notre Dame Cathedral gracing the Saigon skyline.

Broma is on the 4th floor and so definitely isn’t the highest rooftop bar on this list. It’s on the scenic promenade that is Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, though, so it’s a blessing the venue is not too far from the ground — Nguyen Hue is one of the most interesting streets in the city to watch urban life go by, what with its vibrant pedestrian crowd and its unique cafe apartments and other architecture.

Across three tiers – featuring indoor and terrace spaces – Broma: Not a Bar hosts a variety of themed evenings, from the soulful ‘Jazzy Thursdays on the rooftop’ to the empowering ‘Saigon Celebration of Cool Talented Women.’ DJ sets on weekends add to the lively ambiance – of late nights, and even early mornings filled with house music and dancing! 8. Twilight Sky Bar

Twilight Sky Bar sits atop La Siesta Premium hotel on Ly Tu Trong Street, and it’s one of the coolest spaces in the city. The main rooftop with the bar on it is fairly small, but each table is made of LCD lights that give the area an almost sci-fi-like glow. When combined with the soft glow of the city streets from below, it looks really stunning. A slightly smaller rooftop terrace with a few tables is set over the main rooftop, and it has a pleasantly exclusive feel along with that same chic lighting.

The floors of this stylish rooftop bar have a 270-degree view of 23/9 Park and the rest of the city center, with the upper rooftop terrace having a view of Ben Thanh Market as well. We can’t stress enough how one with the city you feel at Twilight Sky Bar — whereas most rooftop bars are too high up to really enjoy the world passing by below, Twilight is just the right height to feel you’re a part of the city’s pulse.

9. Social Club Rooftop Bar – Best for Date Night & Foodies!

Social Club Saigon is one of the most popular rooftop bars in the city. It’s located on the 24th floor of the luxurious Hotel des Arts in District 3, upstairs from an indoor restaurant. The restaurant also offers great views, but the bar opens onto a terrace that exudes opulence, adorned with wooden accents that grace the lounge sofas and bar area. Wicker chair bar stools complete the refined oasis-like ambiance that is virtually guaranteed to impress your date or your significant other.

The rooftop also has a few other features that add to the romantic and luxurious feel such as the highest infinity pool in Ho Chi Minh City or the glass sky bridge that leads to the nearby Centec tower. Although the pool is only for hotel guests, the sky bridge is a fun little diversion that will allow you to get yet another perspective of the city skyline.

The signature cocktails, premium wines, and delectable light snacks are fantastic, too, and the smooth lounge music or live DJ constantly playing in the background makes for a relaxing atmosphere. The magic only intensifies during sunset hours, crowned by a 2-for-1 happy hour from 3-7pm. It’s one of the best places to take a date in HCMC or just to hang out with friends or family who appreciate the beauty of rooftop bars.

  • Opening hours: 3.00 PM – 12.00 AM
  • Address: MGallery Saigon, Floor 24, 76-78 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Ward 6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City

10. Shri Lifestyle Dining – Great Vibe and View!

Shri’s theming is as close as you can get to visiting nature while still enjoying the high luxury of Ho Chi Minh City’s central districts at a rooftop bar. It’s on the 23rd floor of Centec Tower, a building centrally located at the border of districts 1 and 3. Despite the central location and the fantastic city skyline views that accompany it, though, the bar is decked out with natural features: verdant trees, creeping vines, potted plants, and even a miniature river. Even the indoors areas feel straight from a botanist’s workshop, including many potted plants, a library, and a glass dome reminiscent of a greenhouse with panoramic views. Whether you sit inside, or on the outside terrace – the views of Saigons skyline will blow you away!

Shri doesn’t slack as a bar, either — it has an extensive wine menu and a meticulously crafted cocktail selection, a delicious food menu that features European-style dishes, and occasional live musical acts.

  • Opening hours: 5.00 PM – 11.30 PM from Monday to Thursday, 5.00 PM – 12.00 AM from Friday to Sunday
  • Address: Centec Tower, 72 74 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Ward 6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City

11. Dao House Saigon

Nestled in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Dao House Saigon brings a traditional Asian aesthetic to the modern skybar experience by incorporating heritage elements of the Dao ethnic minority. Positioned on the 26th and 27th floors of Centec Tower in District 3, this establishment exudes the elegance of a miniature Hue royal palace — something most rooftop bars don’t even attempt to capture.

The 27th floor houses the Vong Nguyet Lau Sky Bar for drinks and a breathtaking view. The 26th floor is home to the Vu Dai In-House Club, serving Tapas dishes infused with flavors native to Central Vietnam. The one-two punch of drinks and tapas is a real treat for the tastebuds that makes for an excellent date night.

The food and drinks aren’t the only kinds of feast offered at Dao House Saigon. The bar/rooftop restaurant also has a strong cultural and artistic dimension, spotlighting Dao traditions with wall art, decor schemes, and sometimes even live performances inspired by Dao heritage.
