The thoughts running through their mind seemingly written across their sweet little faces. We arrived and walked through the village letting people know the truck with donations is now there. These sweet girls were playing in their front yard with their dogs when all of a sudden a bunch of foreign looking people happen to walz through the quaint little pathways of their town. We were the strange ones and it shows. This was the moment before their curiosity was peaked and they all came towards us smiling and doing their best to engage with us in whichever way they could. My submission to this contest is an homage on childhood away from all of the pressures kids grow up with in an age of social media and digitalisation. They are a reminder that we are too the different ones. We are the foreigners and that shall humble us and the way we interact with the world and its diverse local realities.
