There are a few beaches that are around the Hoi An neighborhood. An Bang Beach is one of Hoi An’s most popular sunbathing spots. It is about 3km from Hoi An town center. It is a stretch of white sand that continues into the vast horizon. It is the perfect getaway spot from the hustle and bustle of Hoi An during peak season.
You can get a sun lounger and take time out by the sea during the day before trekking around Hoi An in the late afternoon. There’s plenty of scope to be active here as well. Parasailing is available and jet skis can be hired, although check the standards first and make sure you are insured. A lot of visitors to Hoi An like to stay in An Bang Beach and visit Hoi An, rather than the opposite way around. It is far more relaxing doing it this way.
Make sure you book ahead during peak season, as the hotels can become fully booked quite quickly.
