Itinerary
5:30 am:Â Pick up from your Danang hotel or meeting point and travel along the Danang coastline to the first destination.
5:45 am:Â Arrive at one of Danang’s bustling beach markets. Get your camera ready and pick the brain of your professional-photographer tour guide for some last-minute tips and tricks before going out into the fray.
Danang’s waterfront at dawn is a mad foray of fish mongers and fishermen hauling their overnight catch up on to the beach direct to market. Sunrise tops off the scene as the early morning rays hit the coastline to semi-illuminate the action surrounding you.
Fishermen carry their haul in bamboo coracles to a small curve of beach, where a vibrant market awaits. On the horizon, traditional teakwood trawlers lay at anchor in the East Sea as the rising sun turns the sky gold.
7:00 am:Â Stop and take a rest at a local Danang cafe and try some local coffee, tea, and juice.
8:00 am: From seascapes and markets, our photographic focus turns to portraits of working life, as we head up to Danang port. We mingle with ice-loaders, and capture the rhythms of their sweat-drenched labour.  It all makes for an unforgettable adventure in Danang’s maritime heart, with stunning pictures to document it.
Moving into the docks you’ll get a real insight into the working life in the Ice factory and the boat yards as craftsmen are busy at their jobs. Expect some fantastic action shots and portraits of workers and moving machinery

Alan Brownbridge –
I did this tour and it was fantastic. I’m an amateur photographer and love sharing my photos on Vietnam Is Awesome. I also live in Da Nang and already know a few nice spots for photos. So I booked the tour and hoped I could practice a little and get some content for the website, for social media, and just explore more and get out there!
The morning comes and the car picks me up at my place. It started really early for me so I was a bit out of it in the car. But when we arrived at the beach there was a buzz in the air. There was a glorious sunrise coming down over the Son Tra mountain. Motorbikes were zipping in-and-out of the sandy beach and little bubbles of people were crowded around all kinds of catch.
After talking and taking a few photos with the locals, next we were off for the next adventure.
As the tour continued, I could see that the relationships my tour guide had built with local people were of great value. I felt comfortable walking into areas, such as the ice factory near the end, and be welcomed. I never would normally dare access, or have access, to such areas.
Thanks in part to Vietnam’s friendly nature, and to my tour guide’s too, this tour was an adventure, a confidence booster, and a workshop in photography – with the backdrop of Vietnamese culture to make it truly exciting!
Highly recommend.
