The tax department of Ho Chi Minh City has demanded that the Municipal Planning and Development Department revoke the business license given to Mon Hue, a regional restaurant chain that has closed en masse outlets over the past two weeks.

In the second week of October, several Mon Hue branches in Ho Chi Minh City were suddenly shut down.

About 20 suppliers of the restaurant have officially filed a complaint with the police in Co Giang Ward, where Huy Vietnam's headquarters, the owner of the restaurant brand, is registered, while over 100 vendors of the restaurant claim that they are still chasing outstanding debts from the company's leaders.

Meanwhile, on October 24, a consortium of six investment firms filed a lawsuit against the owners of the chain for improper influence over large amounts of cash and assets.
