A youth study published by the World Economic Forum on Friday in six ASEAN countries ranks Vietnam fifth in entrepreneurial ambition. It was 35.5% behind Indonesia and 31.9% behind Thailand, the study said. In July, 56,000 individuals aged between 15 and 35 were interviewed from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Young individuals in ASEAN are showing a powerful preference for business environments. According to the study, 31.4% of them are either businessmen or start-up workers, and 33.1% aspire to work in an entrepreneurial environment in the future.

Representatives also show a strong desire to work for an abroad multinational company. 8.6% of them now work for a foreign multinational, but 18.8% want to work for a future multinational.
