The northernmost point in Vietnam is marked by the Lung Cu tower, with 300 steps to go up to the 30-meter monument with stunning views and a massive Vietnamese flag. The flag is 54 square meters representing 54 official nationalities in the country, and it is what Lung Cu, the small village, is known for.
The octagonal tower is built on Dragon Mountain at 1,400 meters high, and you can see beyond the Chinese border. The village is home to Mongs, an ethnic minority from the highlands, and sometimes you can see them in the village dressed in their colorful traditional clothes.
